chapter i.

dissipated into ash / the world before earth was beautiful. an array of color and light and love, a brilliant masterpiece that the universe beheld. and yet, terror and destruction was its downfall under the reign of tyrant gods, each with no restraint, no law and order, no moral compass. their ruling was as they pleased, toying with the innocents until the world itself ceased to exist. millions of years wasted, and war ensued within the heavens.all but one god remained / at the end of the celestial war, the god atticus stood upon the ashes of the heavens and the earth. atticus was the god of beginnings and ends, and the irony of his victory resounded. with his mighty hand, he created a new world out of the nothing that remained of the last (ex nihilo) : the world that would soon be known as earth. it was his intention to end the tyranny of violent gods, and to establish a new system of reign.and the deities shall reign / the new system that atticus had created was to raise up amongst his creation, humankind, those humans who were righteous and of honor. these persons would ascend into godhood ; this is what atticus deemed as a gift. these gods would reign for an era, and once that era fell, would become human and face the inevitability of their deaths. this would forever be the cycle to ensure that the chaos and destruction from the celestial war would no longer come to pass, and that tyranny would not reign forever. those gods that fail to bring prosperity, or those who bring about chaos and war must then live with the consequences of their actions until death arrives at their doorstep.the clash of titans / there have always been loopholes in the grandness of the universe that even the gods cannot overlook. despite the efforts to maintain balance, there have been gods that have risen to ascension without appointment by the inherent power of the universe. these gods do not reside in the heavenly realm, but reside in other elements of the spiritual realm or on earth. they may also exist in alternate demensions or parallel universes that intertwine with the earth of this universe.

chapter ii.

a star is born / cho haneul was born as the first and only child to king yeonjong, in a time of peace and prosperity for joseon. she had a beautiful countenance and a kind temperance, adored by all for her tenderness for others. she was also a deeply spiritual child, connected to the earth, to nature, to the sights and sounds of human life, and often pleaded to the moon to protect the people of joseon. she was and would be the key to the continued development and growth of joseon. that was until she was selected.an uncanny encounter / haneul was sixteen when she was selected to be trained and raised up into ascension. this was an offer she could not refuse, lest the world fall into chaos, and came to her first through a dream. she had dreamed of a man with a loose straw sandal, who had fallen into a pool of muddied water. when he rose, the crowd around him laughed at his misfortune, which instilled a righteous anger within her. in this dream, she moved forward and used the hem of her silk dress to wipe the mud from the man's face, only to see brilliantly blue eyes staring back at him. blue like the sky, and like water. a blue that was not seen in that region. it was uncanny, and yet so lovely. "you were meant for more," he whispered in a language she knew not, and yet somehow understood. and then he was gone, like smoke. and she awoke.the following day, haneul took a walk in the town, and as she was walking, she came across the same thing that had happened in her dream. a man had fallen into a pool of muddied water, and when he rose, the crowd around him laughed. bewildered by the coincidence, she did not change her actions, and stepped forward with benevolence and wiped the mud from his visage. and then he was gone. and she with him. the next thing she recalled was that she stood before the same man, robed in gold and white, standing in the richness of the heavens. it was there that she would receive her instructions. and by age 20, she was immortal.a god who echoes / despite being pulled from her home with no warning, leaving behind an empty gap in her absence, haneul had become a benevolent goddess, fulfilling every wish that she had once beseeched from the moon. and it did not take long for the people of joseon to believe that she had truly become a guiding spirit for their realm. she continued to give and guide humanity into peace and prosperity, judged the unrighteous, and rewarded the honorable. because of her goodness, she had become worshipped and revered. it was because of this that after her assigned era, the universe did not strip haneul of her power. she became the first goddess to renew her cycle into the next era, and the era following. this would coin her divine name, "echo," for she was a god who echoed.a chosen weakness / it was during her third era, during the korean independence movement, that a weakness had befallen upon haneul. the goddess had fallen in love with a human ; a woman named jang hyesun. this woman was beautiful, benevolent, and strong-minded. she posed as a man in the midst of the resistance and fought beside men to free her country. because of her love, haneul came down from the heavens and settled amongst the people, and her encounter with hyesun became a scorching romance. the two of them fought bravely and loved passionately.this did not please the other gods. for while it is a gods purpose to lead and guide humanity, a god is not supposed to come down to earth and meddle in affairs personally. she had incarnated herself to charge forward into battle beside her lover. and in doing so, she would find herself with gun in hand. this would be her downfall.the gods convened and stripped haneul of her powers following the moment she had killed her first human. the war was righteous in her eyes, the occupation of the japanese having brought horrors onto the korean people. but this was not her place. this was not her role. and it was not her duty. her punishment following the revocation of her powers would be to wander the world eternally, stripped of power but helpless in the face of death. she would have to watch every person she would ever love come to their deaths while she remained alive. and the first death she would bear witness to would be her own lover's.another lifetime away / following hyesun's death and her descension, haneul moved from korea and found herself in europe, where she settled in france. over the following years, she would continue to see war, famine, destruction. the rise and fall of regimes, where she would be helpless in saving those she could ever come to care for. loss after loss. in the midst of the chaos, haneul, who took on the name "heaven," and with her knack for prosperity, she established herself and started a business. first it was a small inn, which became a place of healing during wartimes. this inn grew into a hotel, where she would continue to house people from far and wide. from one hotel, to another, until she was running one of the largest hotel brands of the world.her business would then expand from hotels to logistics, air travel, and food business, the brand becoming a large business conglomerate that would soon be breaking records in the world.in the late 1990's, with business breaking ground in seoul, haneul finally decided to come home. she settled in seoul, living privately amongst the elite.

tidbits.

001. eve is a lover, and by default a hopeless romantic. she idealizes the concept of love in every circumstance, and romanticizes her partner or her person of interest. that isn't to say she is easy to sway ; she is fond of a slow burn in almost every occasion, as each time she is violently reminded of the errors of her past.002. while eve is pansexual, she has never loved a man before. she has sensed attraction towards men more often than once, but her romances have always been with women. it is easy to say that she is more easily enamoured by the love of a woman than that of a man. it is markedly different.003. eve is highly connected to nature, in that she often spends time in the wilderness, breathing in the life of the earth and communing with its inhabitants. in the past, she could have easily been mistaken for a fairy of lore, or perhaps some sort of mystic, or even a witch found bathing in the moonlight.more to follow.

PLOTS.

i do not have any pre-made plots at this time, as most plots will be determined directly with the mun. i am more than happy to suggest some wanted connections if you request.

NOTES.

not to be mistaken for winter of aespa and there is no relation to winter or sm entertainment. this account is for roleplay purposes only.i have recently opened eve up for selective interactions. please keep in mind that i am quite busy with real life, and may be delayed when it comes to interactions.i do prioritize plotted relationships, as most of those are a driving force of development for my muse, and interest me more when it comes to writing. that does not go to say that i do not want to interact in a more casual fashion, but i will be slower.please do not pressure for replies, godmod, or start drama out of character. drama in character is okay if plotted. if drama occurs that is not plotted, i reserve the right to remove your muse from my following. i also may not interact with any of your other muses. this is for my own sake, in maintaining a safe space for myself in roleplay.if i choose not to follow your muse, or if i softblock your muse or even hardblock your muse, please do not take it personally. it is my choice to curate my following based on what i believe suits my muse best.i highly encourage plotting and direct messages, as i am less interactive on the timeline. my goal is to create more personal and intimate relationships with my muses, and direct messages accomplish that far better than timeline interactions.that being said, thank you for your interest in eve. i am happy to explore her story together with all of you.

TIDES.

it is by no means easy to turn the tides away from the shores it is drawn to. in the same manner, it is difficult to change the patterns to which a person has attuned themselves.such is the way it is for a young goddess named echo, though she was often known as eve. eve was a creature of habit since her first incarnation on earth, as cho haneul. she had always been a benevolent creature, loving and full of life. so much so that there had been rumors she could even bring flowers to blossom, and roots to grow firm. she was a blessing, even before she was divine.but her love, as much as it was a strength, was also her downfall. she loved, with intensity and with vigor, with passion and with delight. with this also came the violent grieving of loss when those passions burnt out by the bitter taste of death. oh ... death. death. to put it in common phrases, death would be the death of her. one too many times has she seen the grips of death strip away the lives of those she'd loved. sometimes, it seemed as if death were laughing at her. and yet, she could not stop loving.she would not stop loving.eve stood before the grave of her last beloved, flowers in hand as she stared blankly at the moss that began to form in the corners and cracks of the stone. the chill of european air had a different bite than that of korea ; perhaps it was the lingering grief that bit harder, until the blood in her cheeks burned scarlet, and the peaks of her knuckles turned white.the woman's name was amΓ©lie. her beloved, her star. in her eyes she had seen the same light that she'd seen in hyesun all those many years ago. eve was attracted to fire, and the women she'd loved were always aflame, passionate and headstrong. but every time, these fires burned so strong that even they turned to ash. the same was with amΓ©lie, though in a different way. amΓ© had been sick. her fire had been put out before it had a chance to burn.tears stung at eve's eyes, lungs seized as emotion crushed her spirit down to the depths of her being, and she knelt down to place the flowers at the foot of the gravestone. eve cursed death and honored amΓ©lie's life in the same breath, then stood and turned away. this would be the last time she would visit this grave. she knew in the depths of her heart that there one day would be a new grave. a new life to grieve. a new sorrow."fuck you," she whispered, her breath vaporizing into tufts of fog that dissipated in the wind, and she shoved her hands into her pockets. she knew that somewhere, death was listening. that curse was meant for him.
